In May 2023, Rob Cord was voted in as Chair of CBPA. Cord brings 41 years of experience in commercial real estate to CBPA. He currently serves as CEO of Advisors Real Estate Asset Services (AREAS) and CEO of Foothill Partners, Inc.

Prior to his current roles, Cord worked with a number of firms including Grubb & Ellis, CBRE, Cassidy Turley, Kennedy Wilson, Voit Real Estate and Coldwell Banker Advisors.

Cord has 34 years of volunteer leadership experience. He has been a member of CBPA for 30+ years and has served on the Board of Directors for 20+ years. Cord has also held various volunteer leadership roles outside of CBPA. 

He has chaired both the California and Sacramento local affiliates of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and has held additional leadership roles with International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP) and American Cancer Society (ACS).
