On August 13-14, 2024, the California Commercial Real Estate Summit brought industry leaders together in Sacramento to advocate, connect, and collaborate. Attendees from across the state met with nearly 60 state senators and assemblymembers, putting a face to our industry in the Capitol. The revamped event began with a memorable mixer at the California museum on Tuesday. 

Wednesday morning's breakfast included special guest Ashley Zavala, California Capitol Correspondent at KCRA 3 News. Zavala was awarded CBPA's inaugural Media All-Star Award due to her track record of providing in-depth capitol coverage, consistently shedding light on some of the most important issues impacting our state. 

The day continued with our coalition meeting with their state representatives to advocate for legislation that would benefit our industry and pushing back against harmful bills. We welcomed special guest speakers Assistant Speaker pro Tempore Assemblymember Stephanie Nguyen (D-Elk Grove) and Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher (R-Chico) to provide an inside look at the legislative process.
