On August 11-12, 2026, CBPA hosted the 2026 California Commercial Real Estate Summit (CCRES), bringing more than 60 commercial real estate leaders to Sacramento to meet directly with legislators and advocate on key bills impacting our industry. Those conversations came at a critical time, with the Legislature’s Appropriations Committees taking action on hundreds of bills this week. Several measures that were a major focus of our advocacy were stopped, while important industry-supported legislation continued to advance. We’d also like to thank new Assembly Republican Leader Alexandra Macedo for joining us as the keynote speaker at our CCRES breakfast, as well as Senator Jesse Arreguín and Assemblymember Diane Dixon for taking the time to join us that morning. We also greatly appreciate the many other legislators and staff who met with our advocates and engaged directly with California’s commercial real estate industry throughout the two-day Summit. Thank you again to everyone who joined us in Sacramento for CCRES and helped carry the commercial real estate industry’s message directly to lawmakers. This week’s results are another reminder that showing up, building relationships and speaking with a unified industry voice makes a difference! |
