Last week the Legislature passed, and the Governor signed a measure to replace the current water bond that is on the ballot, with a $7.5 billion bond. We support this new measure and congratulate and thank those under the Capitol Dome for coming together to make this happen.  We reported this last week, but its significant and we want to make sure all of our members know that we will be working to help support this effort.

Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff, who represents the 29th Senate District, has summed up the issue nicely. Click here to read his op/ed on the bond to learn more about the details and strategic thought that went into the measure.

We need more water infrastructure and this measure is a great first step.  You will hear more about it between now and November, but bottom line, we support this action!
