    Among the many cuts and eliminations that are being rumored as part of the Governor’s Budget, which will be released early next week, is the elimination of local redevelopment agencies.  According to the Sacramento Bee, Brown would “wipe out” hundreds of local redevelopment agencies, which use property taxes to spur projects in blighted areas.  Recently the state has raided redevelopment funds to patch holes in the state budget.  Click here to read the full story.
