Speaking of the Attorney General’s Office, we thought it would be interesting to take a peek at the “Environmental Justice Unit” webpage. EJ issues are a new policy area for the AG’s office and have been highlighted as a major focus of the office. According to the top law enforcement official in the state, “The Attorney General is particularly concerned that local governments, in permitting new projects, consider potentially significant environmental impacts on communities already burdened with pollution.” Click here to read more.
