As of this writing, AB 350 is still stalled in the Senate.

Three Senate Democrats voted NO: Ron Calderon (D-Montebello), Fran Pavley (D-Agoura Hills), and Rod Wright (D-Los Angeles). Four Senate Democrats abstained: Carol Liu (D-Pasadena), Alan Lowenthal (D-Long Beach), Michael Rubio (D-Bakersfield), and Lois Wolk (D-Davis). Senate Republicans stayed true to the business community and held firm against the bill.

SEIU is putting intense pressure on the Senate Democrats listed above; we’re doing the same to keep them where they are. AB 350 will come up again today in the Senate. If AB 350 passes, it goes back to the Assembly for concurrence where it’s expected to pass. We’re cautiously optimistic, but it’s not over yet.
